phat loots

I went to Isesaki this evening with some friends to reserve our seats for next week’s Wednesday 11:00 PM Matrix Revolutions premiere, and we made a stop by The Store. The Store is kind of like a Sam’s Club full of used gashapon, music, manga, movies, and game software. Plus lots and lots of vintage toys and nonsense. It’s basically a geek’s dream shop: huge, open 24 hours a day, overflowing with rare and obscure things available at mostly reasonable prices. I found a fairly good haul this evening:

  • McDonalds Original Happy Disc – 500y. A hard-to-find Parappa 2 / Piposaru 2001 PlayStation 2 demo disc from McDonalds. Unique because the demo levels feature redone McDonalds’ themed artwork.
  • UmJammer Lammy Original Sound Track – 1500y / Milkcan Make it Sweet! – 800y. A great price for these two CDs, complete with liner notes and obis.
  • Final Fantasy X-2 OST with preorder Rikku strap – 2500y. This is actually new. Not a bad price for a 2-disc OST, and I really like FFX-2’s music. It’s, uh … quirky.
  • Dancer in the Dark oversized promo booklet – 800y. This is about the size of an LP case and 32 full-color pictures of BJORK! Bjork bjork bjork. My walls will be so happy.

It’s always fun to geek out on a budget!

Any second you’re going to bust out in the Brunching Shuttlecock’s “Bjork” song.

Hey, do they have cell phone straps? my new phone has a place for said strap, and I think I’d be the coolest kid in class if I had a strap with Ein on it.

Hey, I found your site thingy while I was looking for Inu-yasha phone straps on Google. Do you know any places that carry them? … I can’t find any…>_
